How Kiwi Families was Born
The idea for Kiwi Families grew out of a desire to provide relevant, quality information to New Zealand families. Our dream for this site is that it wil become the first port-of-call for New Zealand parents when they need information or advice on any parenting issue.
Reactions from other parents when we’ve shown them the site have been exceptionally positive: the most common responses are “This is fantastic – when can I start using it?” and “Gosh, I wish this had been around when my kids were younger!”
What's in a Name?
We chose the name Kiwi Families to clearly identify our community.
We chose “kiwi” because the site is specifically designed for families who live in New Zealand (but may also be of interest to Kiwis who are currently overseas).
We selected “families” rather than “parents”, because the reason you’re coming to the site is due to your concern about issues which impact on your family.
We have carefully designed the site to make you feel “at home” in what is an increasingly depersonalised global internet market.
This is the place for kiwi parents to come to find information, advice and support.
