How can I see my Points?

To find out how many points you have at any time, simply go to the Members Area (click on the Members button at the top right hand corner of any page).

Your points are updated on a "live" or real-time basis, so you'll be able to see instantly how many you've got.

If you want to know how you are doing in terms of the latest Membership Competition, you can click on the Competition Points Ranking page, which you can also from here ot the home page.

To maintain people's privacy, these rankings will only be shown in terms of User Names, with no personal details revealed.

On this page you can see a table showing the points for the top 20 people leading the current membership competition at any one time.

But can't people cheat?

In our experience, the vast majority of people are honest, trustworthy types who play fair. But we also recognise that there are a few ratbags out there ... even amongst parents!

So to safeguard our Members and make our competitions fair, we have put some rules and programmed controls in place. We have put limits on the activities which are most open to abuse.

The maximum numbers that will be allowed to count towards points are:
  • a maximum of 2 visits to site per day
  • a maximum of 5 rankings (products, articles etc) per visit
  • a maximum of 1 poll response per visit
  • a maximum of 10 pages viewed on each visit
  • a maximum of 2 database searches
  • a maximum of 5 click-throughs on banners or links
Of course you are more than welcome to be more active than this on site; but we need to put controls in place to prevent abuse of the points system. Otherwise it would be possible for people to indiscriminately click on pages, or even write a computer programme to do this for them.

We have not put any limit on the number of reviews you may write nor the number of postings you may contribute to the Forum. However, please note that we expect these postings to be of a high quality. If the Kiwi Families Management Team or other Kiwi Families Members have concerns about the low quality or inappropriate content of your postings, then your membership and/or all or some of your accumulated points may be revoked.

Disclaimer: please note that in every aspect of the loyalty points and competition systems, the decision of Kiwi Families Management will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

What can I win with my points?

Once again, this is very easy. Kiwi Families will be running competitions on an ongoing basis. For example, our first competition, Win a Family Holiday is running from 1 October 2006 to 15 December 2006.

At the end of the each competition period, the member with the most points will win the prize. Everyone's accounts will then be re-set to zero, and we will start building up to the next competition.

Please note that you cannot choose whether or not to enter a competition and so reserve points for the future: all members will automatically be entered for all points-based competitions.

Any questions?

If you are unsure about any aspect of the points system, please do not hesitate to contact us.
