Asperger's and PDDs or just anxiety in 6 year old
We've had issues with our nearly 6 year old lately getting a lot of headaches on the weekends. Once we'd ruled out any sort of bullying at school we realised it was an actual physiological problem, not just psychological. I have recently taken him to see a paediatrician who asked me a whole range of questions on socialising etc. I also mentioned that he struggles with his motor skills and now it seems it could all be related. Still more testing to be done but it looks like he might be suffering mildly from something like Asperger's and so getting very anxious about the social aspects at school, hence the headaches. He's the classic case of wanting to have friends desperately, but not really knowing how to do it. He's had struggles there since Kindy and even then I thought, things were not quite right. Should have listened to my instinct. Anyone one else going through something similar? I'm not afraid of a diagnosis--it will help us to understand some of his quirks. I just want to be able to help him cope better so he doesn't get sick.

suppliments
Hi, have you thought of trying a calcium magnesium suppliment to help calm him down a little. It will help his muscles to relax and he might not get so anxious?
My 9yo didn't sleep very well so thats what we use and now he has no night sweats and sleeps like a baby.
Sometimes a top quality suplpiment can really help. I would recommend approx100mg calcium, 50mg magnesium and 50IU vitamin D3 per day as a start. If it helps build it up slowly to about double that.

The same thing helps for migrane suffers.
My partner has had migranse since he was a kid, he had problems with his motor skills cause they got that bad. But now that I have taken control :-) and put him on suppliments, his migranes are no longer an issue. he gets the occasional headake, but has not been to hospital for shots for his migranes for over 5 years
