Bed wetting and playing up
My 8 yearold son has started wetting his bed on and off for about a year now. generally it was due to tiredness, I would get him up to go to the toilet in night if I thought he would sleep through or if it was a weekend night and went to bed later. Although he seems to be doing it alot more recently. Both at home and at dads. We share care with him and his younger sister. he has been recently faking being sick and hurting himself to get out of going to school and sport(which he is totally into). wondered if it has something to do with attention, esp as his younger sister has started at school and she seems to get alot of attention from all the school, teachers and even his peers. She has dispraxiaso she requires alot more attention. She is very cute and very very social. last night I caught him pretending to fall off his top bunk and then lay crying in his bed as he had a head ache!! thinkng of taking him to see someone but if anyone has any advice would appreciate it.

I had a similar problem with my 7 year old son. After trying and failing at different things I put him back into nappies at night. You can buy cloth nappies and plastic pants for older kids on trade me. They work well and dont cost a fortune. Instant attitude adjustment as well.
