Advice choosing school for almost 5y/old
Hi, I need some advice on choosing a school for our eldest daughter. She will be 5 in Feb, just after term one starts and I have to have her enrolled before the end of this year.
We have a few options but I have 2 schools in mind that we like. One is close to home, the other is close to the preschool our second daughter will be attending.
They both have good attributes but I do not know anyone with a child at either school so am unsure where to go to for advice.
Can any one help. I am nervous about the whole thing.
What should I ask etc?

choosing schools
Why dont u go for a school visit to these schools and have a talk to the teacher that would have ur child in there class, ask them what there philosophys are and see what vibes u feel about the school always go by ur gut feelings and always always check out there ero reports which can be either viewed on http://www.ero.govt.nz/ero/publishing.nsf/Content/Home+Page
or request one from the school :)

Definitely visit them
If you make an appointment to visit each you can 'feel' what each offers as well as see it first hand. When you have decided you'll be able to set up your 'school visits' with your child so that they know the class before they officially start school. Very exciting time, and a little scary too!
