Early Rising
Our almost 2 1/2 yo has always been a great sleeper, easy to settle, good long stints of sleep, a totally delightful little girl. For the past (what must be) several weeks however she has been waking consistently at the completely anti-social hour of 5am - sometimes even earlier. I certainly make the most of my days now that I'm up so early, but I also happen to have become absolutely shattered! Nighttime routine is always the same, she settles to sleep happily (or after a pathetic attempt at objecting) at around 7pm and sleeps soundly until...the middle of the night! She toddles through in the early hours, my husband haretails it for her bed, and I have the job of talking her into staying in bed with me til at least 6am. Any insights/ideas/handy hints please?

Yay!!! I'm not the only one!!
LOL
My 3, almost 4 year old is the same. Ours started when Day Light Savings ended. :-(
It is driving me crazy because I am 29 weeks pregnant and need my sleep.
Unfortunately I have no ideas, but hoping and praying really hard someone might know. :-)
And letting you know I know how ya feel. :-)

Have you tried?
Have you tried good ole bribbery?
I'd get her an alarm clock and bribe her to stay in her own bed until it goes off - offer anything / everything...hehehehehe....Build up the big girl/boy thing....talk with them in detail about how you and daddy need sleep blah blah - You know your kids - think about what pushes their buttons - what can you offer that they really really want to achieve????
My son gets up mostly at 6.00 to 6.30am every morning so I've been use to it - he was an awesome sleeper as a baby,as well but now he's 4 yrs old and even tho his 3 yr old brother sleeps longer he still is our early riser....

I know what thats like!!! My two year old went into a bed and then started getting herself up at 4.30-5.30 every morning! Was killing me as I have a newborn. Have put her back into a cot temporarily until I can face trying her again in a bed. Tried giving some milk then back to bed and lock the door and sometimes we might get another 1/2 hour sleep... maybe you could try that??
