hitting, pinching & pushing
I know this is a common problem in 2 year olds, especially boys but hearing that doesn't solve the problem with 'what to do about it'... My just 2 year old son has taken up pushing, hitting and pinching. He pushes "just to say hi", he pinches for a reaction, and hits when he doesn't get his own way. His 5 year old sister is getting the brunt of it unfortunately, especially the pinching. This has been going on for a good month and I think it's getting worse not better. I go to him EVERY time, tell him sternly that this is not ok, then put him on a 'time out spot' in the hall where he has to sit for 2 minutes. He then appologises and carries on his day. None of this gets any kind of reaction from him. He just looks at me, walks calmly to time out, sits nicely for 2 minutes then goes off and gives his sister a lovely hug and says sorry.
Is there anything else I can try???
