Family Finances

Family Finances is a topic close to every parent's heart in these tough economic times. Family Finances offers free practical financial advice on reducing debt, cutting costs, budgeting and protecting your greatest family asset.

Financial expert Kerry Burridge brings to you practical finance tips, backed by years of professional experience.  Kerry has written a book on banking in New Zealand; has three business degrees including a Masters in Economics; lectured in the Faculty of Commerce of AUT for 10 years; and was an international consultant before having children.

With 3 children to feed, clothe and house on a limited income whilst establishing the www.KiwiFamilies.co.nz website, Kerry's focus has turned to finding practical tips to help families survive financially in these increasingly difficult times.

Kerry has recently been interviewed about family finances on Close Up, Central TV, and many radio stations across the country.

We hope all kiwi families find this section helpful, covering a broad range of home finance subjects in order to help you save money, reduce debt via bank loan and interest rate (eg. mortgage, credit card) review, gain financial control via planning and budget setting (using paper, online services, and/or software) and debt consolidation, and protect your family.
