In this allergies section you will find informative articles on the common allergies and allergic conditions, such as asthma and eczema.
There is family friendly information describing each allergy and explaining what causes or triggers them.
Each article will give you advice on how to recognise the conditions from their signs and symptoms, and outlines the usual measures to treat them. This will include medical treatments and where appropriate, other forms of suitable treatment, such as natural therapies and self help techniques.
All diseases and conditions do have risks and complications - there is some information on the most common complications that can occur and basic advice on where to go for help.
As parents we are responsible for the health of our children - and although we may value the help, advice and treatment given by health professionals we need to know what we ourselves can do to help.
