Not only a dedicated mother, Nikki gives tremendously and tirelessly of her time and energy to help other couples and families in need.
Nomination from Bianca McDuff (Friend)

Approximately 18 months ago my husband and I attended a Family Life Conference to prepare us for married life. We were so moved by this conference, it helped us so much that we went on to sponsor 3 other couples to attend the course within the following year to attempt to save their marriages and all came out with new found understandings of their spouses, it really helped!
Behind a great man is an even greater woman keeping it all together!
Now I want to do something in return for the wonderful woman behind the scenes Nikki Bray, Nikki along with her husband Andy are the faces of Family Life conferences in NZ, they travel all over NZ dedicating their lives to nurturing other peoples marriages and families. Endless hours are poured into this demanding work but Nikki still finds time to tend to her own families needs at the end of the day.
Nikki is an outstanding woman with so many talents and a gorgeous smile, and there are many, many more things to say about Nikki but I’m afraid 1000 words is not enough for this woman.
I wish to nominate Nikki for "Mother of the Year" award as this year will be one of the hardest years Nikki will ever have to face. Not only is Nikki the mother of three great children, she is also the rock behind her husband Andy, who is in desperate need of a kidney transplant and spends days at home on a dialysis machine until a match is found for a kidney.
In addition to this, only a few weeks ago Nikki lost one of those three great children, her eldest daughter Natasha (16) from Elim Christian College in a terrible canyoning tragedy at the Mangatepopo River, this which everybody has been deeply affected by.
This is something that no mother would ever imagine they would have to go through, and it will only be by God’s grace that Nikki will find the strength to cope with this loss even though it must be so very hard for her right now.
Winning this award will not take away the hurt and pain Nikki is feeling but it would be a really nice way to let her know that the community and her friends are still thinking and praying for her everyday.
Please join me in nominating Nikki Bray for the “Mother of the Year” award 2008.
