Are you fed up with yelling at your children?
Are you fed up with your children yelling at you?
Are you fed up with your children yelling at each other?

Have you ever thought that there must be an easier way?

In this book, Diane Levy presents her bold new approach to parenting with two main aims - to develop emotional independence and to promote self-discipline.  She shows you how to raise pleasant children whose company you can enjoy.

With a wise, humorous and accessible writing style, Diane Levy relates stories from raising her own three children to demonstrate the practical details of parenting.  You will find practical information on how to deal with tantrums, sibling disputes, bullying, hitting, teasing, biting, verbal abuse and other unnecessary habits our children seem to adopt.  There are strategies for sleep patterns, eating habits, shyness, successful toilet training, promoting problem-solving skills and setting our teens up to become wise planners.

This is the book you will want to read cover to cover - and then keep revisiting.

Diane Levy would have to be one of my favourite authors. She manages to give really down to earth advice, while making you smile and laugh at the same time! This book is kind of more "heavy duty" than her other one - leaning more towards parenting advice than entertainment, but it's still really enjoyable to read. It's great to hear from someone who has been through the trials of raising three children herself, and who can combine the realities of this with the sane, rational approach of a family counsellor. I would recommend this to ALL parents. It's great.

Having been smitten by Diane on "Demons to Angels" when I was pregnant, I was well inclined to take her advice in the book. My friend lent me hers - now I have my own :o)

I love that she doesn't pretend to have been perfect and since she tried different methods with her kids her experiences have been very insightful.

I read this book and then when my situation changes, I read it again and get a different perspective.

Her down to earth style is a real winner!

I am two chapters from finishing this book and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I am sharing all the ideas with those I know, and am encouraging people to read it.

It is all good information and I have especially enjoyed reading of her own parenting success stories and the struggles that she has learnt lessons from. It has reassured me as a parent that I am not such a horrible person if I yelled, but to aim to do better.
