Journaling and scrapbooking with kids

Combining craft with making lasting, visual memories is a fantastic way to bond together with your children.  If you’ve never tried scrapbooking before, it doesn’t have to be overly complicated or involve a lot of specific tools (though of course those things are out there for those who really get into scrapbooking as a hobby).  If you’ve got some time why not document a day or two of these school holidays as scrapbook pages?  Pick a day they want to remember for a great place to start.

Anzac day activities

It’s April 25th, a day of great significance.  Today’s school holiday post looks at Anzac activities to do together, so you can mark this day in a memorable way.  If your kids are at school they’ve probably covered some ground in terms of what Anzac day is for, so it’s a great opportunity to follow up on that learning and get them to tell you what they understand.

The holidays are a good opportunity to see nature in action. Continue reading »
