Ruth Paul, writer of Bad Dog Flash has brought the loveable but naughty pup back in Go Home Flash. Flash’s eagerness will delight young readers once more, as his young puppy tricks get him in trouble time and time again!

I’m liking

Written in a very similar vein to Bad Dog Flash, Go Home Flash is full of short, rhyming sentences and telling pictures that are funny. Flash keeps trying to leave home to explore… but always gets told to go home. Once again Flash makes split-second decisions that see him get in trouble, and young readers will certainly relate to his antics!

The Flash books are just perfect for early readers. The simple text that often repeats words, and relates so well to the pictures, will ensure success for kids who are starting to read text for themselves.

Beautifully illustrated, the pictures add so much to this story. Flash’s emotion is perfectly captured through the expressions on his face.

The conclusion

Also published in Te Reo (E Hoki Flash), Go Home Flash is another great read from Ruth Paul. It will suit children 2+ as a much-requested story to read aloud, or those in the 5-9 age bracket for reading themselves.

Go Home Flash is published by Scholastic and has a RRP of $19.95
