These books are absolutely stunning. I’ve made a few photo books with other companies before and, at times, have been pretty disappointed with the paper and image quality. Not with these ones. MILK photo books are the kind of book that you can proudly have out on display and they’ll be admired by all.
I created a Double White, Medium Square photo book and it’s a really nice size. I like the square shape and it displays the photos beautifully.
As well as a physical photo book, you’ll also receive a free digital flip book, which is excellent for sharing with friends and family. You can see one of the flip books here.
The software used to create these books will be fairly familiar to anyone who has created a photo book before. It’s straight forward to use and there are lots of tips to help you get things the way you want them. I liked the way you could customise the font and layout on any of the pages.
Although the website said that the book would take 10-14 days to arrive, it actually took about 5 days. Yah.
Things that made me go hmmmm
The books are definitely not the cheapest on the market and they’re not for those who just want something ‘cheap and cheerful’. However, if you have some special images that you want to use to create something really special, this is the way to go.
You do need to create pages in two-page pairs, which means that if you want to delete one page, you also need to delete the pairing page. It’s worth spending a bit of time planning the order of your images ahead of time so that you don’t have to do this too much.
The conclusion
I’m absolutely thrilled with my photo book and I’m so glad that I took the time to put these photos together in such a lovely book. The quality is top-notch and I will treasure this book of photos. I’ll also be back next time I’m keen to make a really special photo book.
