Lego’s 2015 annual is a mix of a broad range of puzzles along with short comic stories. Each of the 59 pages is glossy, with high quality images of Lego scenes and characters from the Lego City, Lego Castle and Lego Minifigures.
I’m liking
My 6 year old sat down with this very excitedly after school and silently worked through a bunch of the puzzles for the next hour. He was totally captivated by the book and it’s nice to know there are still plenty of puzzles left for him to do. My 4 year old loved that there was real Lego inside the cover (for the 2015) and enjoyed making it again as a puzzle. He also loved looking through all the Lego creations throughout the book, even though the puzzles were a little old for him to do.
Things that made me go hmmmm
My boys are big Lego Star Wars, Lego Movie and Lego Chima fans and it was a little disappointing that for an official annual, it included so few of its ranges (and none of their favourites). If you have girls into Lego Friends, there’s nothing in there about those too.
The conclusion
If your child is into Lego, and especially Lego City/Lego Castle/Lego Minifigures, this is a great activity book which will hold up well for them to look back over and read multiple times even once all the puzzles are done.
