If you saw our review of the Cocoon, you will know that Harold gave it 5 stars. This seat is part of the same family of seats but is a convertible seat that is suitable for children aged 0-4. It goes in both front and rear facing configurations.

I’m liking

This is another styley-looking seat but also incorporates the highest level of car seat safety. It has side shell protection and full interior EPS shock absorption. With a steel frame, it’s solid and robust.

One of the things that I really liked about this seat was the way that it installs. It’s really simple to install and the seat belt path is clearly labelled. But better than this, the belt is clamped in place. No more constant adjustments to make sure that the belt hasn’t loosened off! You can get an isofix base for this seat but it’s not necessary if you don’t have isofix.

Things that made me go hmmmm

Like the other seat in the cocoon range, this is made from PU leather fabric. It looks great and is easy to wipe down but I have noticed that it gets very warm in hot weather. A couple of times recently, we’ve had to let the seat cool down before my daughter will sit in it.

The puzzle latch takes a bit of working out but snaps in nicely once you’ve got it the right way around!

The conclusion

A really, really useful seat. It fits children up to 18kg and for us, makes an excellent second car seat, which we can use with two of our three children. It’s easy to move around and is comfortable.
