I’m liking
This is a great introduction book to the Hairy Maclary franchise. It’s a touch and feel book, and each page has a texture and material for small hands to explore. It’s essentially a picture book, but also has a simple story line running throughout.
The touch and feel aspect is really well done. Hairy Maclary is particularly ‘hairy’. One of the house pictures has textured brick that our seven month old loved to scratch.
Things that made me go hmmmm
At just 11 pages, I thought this book was a little brief. That’s more from the parents point of view though. Bubs and young ones will love it, and certainly not get bored.
The conclusion
This is classic Hairy Maclary but for the first readers. It’s a great introduction to Hairy Maclary and the crew, and will make a great gift for a little one.
