This is a really well-thought out nappy with some great design features.

For more information about Cushie Tushie nappies, see our introduction. We’ve also got some great advice for getting started with cloth nappies.

I’m liking

Cushie Tushies have put a lot of thought into the design of these nappies and the attention to design is impressive. The nappy works together really well and I found them to be really, really absorbent.

I found these nappies really easy to assemble and although I tend to prefer pocket nappies, the fact that the liner snapped onto the outer meant that I didn’t have any problems getting the pieces to stay together.

These nappies are also quite trim and fitted well under my baby’s clothes.

Cushie Tushies also have gorgeous fabric designs and I LOVE the fact that you can get matching accessories- including wipes and nappy bags. And on the topic of the wipes- these are stand-out the best wipes I have used… they’re rough on one side and minky on the other so you can (sorry about the details!) scrap off the poo with the rough side and then wipe clean with the smooth side. They work soooo well. They’re also generously sized so you don’t end up using 5 wipes on a big job 😉

Things that made me go hmmmm

Because the liners are made with bamboo, they do take longer to dry than some other liners- but that’s the pay off for the extra absorbency. I didn’t find that they took an unreasonable length of time, though and it didn’t really bother me.

The thing that I thought let these nappies down just a little was the fact that the fleece on the inside of the outer became quite rubbed quite quickly. It’s just an aesthetic thing but it seems a shame when these are such gorgeous nappies.

The conclusion

A really well-thought out and fantastically performing nappy. They’e definitely not the cheapest nappy on the market but having the liner separate from the liner means that you don’t necessarily need to always change the outer so could just buy extra liners and reuse the outer when you change your baby.
