Try this free recipe – Red Noodles – an easy dinner for families on a budget.

Red Noodles

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of pasta – any type – cooked as per instructions

diced onion

2-3 slices of bacon

several sliced mushrooms

can of watties tomato soup

1/2 cup of water

1/2 can of milk or cream

grated parmesan cheese

How to Make:

Once pasta is cooked strain and put a little olive oil over whilst you cook the sauce.

The sauce:

Fry onions in a pan or wok, add bacon and cook, then add mushrooms and cook till soft. Next add a can of tomato soup and 1/2 can water, 1/2 milk or cream.

Mix together, bring to boil and reduce heat, then add pasta.

Serve straight into bowls with some freshly grated parmesan cheese on the top for a great quick and easy meal – or make into a gratin by placing pasta into a oven proof dish, cover with grated cheese and put in a moderate oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese is golden. (more dishes this way!)
