Sweet and sour pork


Try this free dinner recipe – Sweet and Sour Pork – for families on a budget.


500 grams pork cut chunky

1 onion chopped

2 carrots chopped

2 Tbsp brown sugar

2 Tbsp cornflour

2 Tbsp soy sauce

2 Tbsp malt vinegar

1 can pineapple pieces

1 Red and Green Pepper

½ cup Frozen Peas

How to make sweet and sour pork:

Mix the pork, onion and carrots together and then rub through sugar and cornflour.

Combine the above with soy sauce, vinegar, pineapple.

Cover in a deep microwave dish and cook in microwave 10 minutes on high.

Reduce power to med/low and cook for 45 minutes

Add chopped red and green pepper and frozen peas and cook for a further 4 minutes on high.
