The fitted nappy – you have choices with the fabric: microfibre, bamboo or cotton. For those people that like natural fibres against their baby’s bum you have the bamboo and cotton. Both good nappies with bamboo being slightly more absorbant than the cotton. For those that don’t want the baby’s bum to be too wet or require a faster-drying nappy, the microfibre nappy is better. I find that all the nappies fit well and that the velcro is well placed and strong (it can overlap!). Another bonus is that if you would like your baby/toddler to feel that they are “wet” (in order to assist with toilet training), they will be able to do so with this nappy.
The wrap – well I can’t rave about it enough! Best fitting wrap I have come across so far. Nice soft fabric that is waterproof yet breathes. Well fitted. Double gussets around the legs which has to this day NEVER let anything out. And my daughter (1yr) does some pretty big explosions! The poo stops in the elastic (if it’s made it that far) and doesn’t go past it. I’m very grateful. 🙂 [Note: we use this wrap over the top of other types of nappies very successfully.]
When I bought my first lot of nappies you could get a great, well-priced trial pack that included one of each nappy fabric type plus a wet bag. Very good wet bag also!
Things that made me go hmmmm
The bamboo and cotton fitted nappies can take a few days to dry on an inside line due to them being nice and absorbant and ruffled around the leg elastic. And the sizing I’ve found a little confusing. Currently using Size 2 fitted nappies with Size 1 wraps (as the size 2 wrap is way too big).
The conclusion
Good quality nappy at an affordable price, especially if this nappy work for you and your child as bulk kits are very reasonably priced. I would recommend this nappy to anyone who likes the two-piece fitted nappy system, has space/means to dry them, but not a lot of money to spend. Very economical.
