Personally, I think there’s everything to love about Mud Mates coveralls.

I’m liking

Firstly, the simplicity appeals to me. No adjustable straps, no pockets, just a very straightforward design. Therefore coveralls are easily washed, and are fast to dry. I’ve found that paint and mud come off the soft fabric well – they wash up like new. They are easy to slip on and small children will be able to put them on mostly unaided. They are light and roomy – so you can really pack the warm clothes in underneath when necessary, but they’re also comfortable with a t shirt on underneath during sunny weather. You will find many uses for coveralls when you have a pair. Currently we use them during water play (pictured), in the sandpit, to jump on a damp trampoline or run around in dewy mornings, for painting – and I’m finding more uses all the time.

Things that made me go hmmmm

My 18 month old has only just started toilet training, but I’m slightly concerned about getting these down in time for toileting when required.

The conclusion

These are a really useful, well priced, NZ made product. Highly recommended.

Mud Mates Coveralls are priced at $45.00 for sizes 6-12 months up to size 3. Size 2 fits my 18 month old with room to grow.
