On a Budget

Kiwi Paka

Just 10 minutes walk into town, on the edge of Kuirau Park, is Kiwi Paka. This clean, friendly, smoke free hostel provides “The Lodge” with four or five share rooms, “The Chalet” has its’ own bathroom and leads to a garden or private balcony. Both the Lodge and Chalets are thermally heated – what a fantastic experience for the children!

For the “Outdoors Family” Kiwi Paka offers  tent and camper sites which are surrounded by peaceful and shady trees. The tent sites are designed for 2 and 3 person tents, with powered sites available for camper vans. You have the option of bringing your own linen or hiring it on arrival for a nominal charge.

Rotorua Hideaway Lodge

Located on four acres of private and peaceful park-like grounds in Ngongotaha, Rotorua Hideaway Lodge has no sulphur fumes, features friendly farm animals to pet, and a custom-built extensive adventure playground, including treehuts, slides, flying fox, and a four hole golf course.
The lodge has 8 self-contained spacious units with an option of twin or double beds. All units have fully equipped kitchens (including full size stoves & microwaves). Rooms are heated (electric blankets are also provided) and include a shower and bath.
This is a fun and safe place for the kids, a relaxing atmosphere for the parents, with friendly hosts, is reasonably priced, and is a home away from home. All units are serviced daily, provide a B&B option, and also provide BBQ area, bike storage, high chairs, cots, irons, ironing boards, and hair dryers.

A Bit of Luxury

Koura Lodge

Indulge the family in a bit of luxury at Koura Lodge, situated on the tip of Kawaha Point, a private, peaceful location, just five minutes drive from Rotorua central.  Their tranquil lakefront retreat is nestled in an established garden setting with panoramic views over Lake Rotorua to Mokoia Island, Mt Tarawera and beyond.
