  1. I purchased a double terrain buggy, second hand, 7 years ago for my baby and then, 3 year old. It was fantastic. I used it heavily as we had only one car at the time, and I refused to be confined to a limited lifestyle. So robust, and easy to use. The boys loved being in it, and were also happy to sleep in it if we were out late. Putting up and down, was a simple operation, and I was always surprised at how it always fitted thru any door way.I used it for 2 1/2 years, and then onsold on TradeMe for around $160, I think $20 less than what it cost me!I would highly recommend the use of a twin if you have 2 children under 5. The mountain buggy brand is so well proven, strong and enduring, that the resale value on these items is excellent. The design is simply smart, without gimmicky bits, that just get in the way, trap food and dirt and become annoying. I’m about to have my third child, and intend to purchase another 2nd hand mountain buggy – the urban elite this time (I’ve matured to a more sedate lifestyle).

  2. This is a great buggy. We looked at one of these when shopping around for a new buggy when I was pregnant with our daughter. The pram we had just wouldn’t have done for a toddler + a newborn baby. Perfect for both twins and baby and toddler. Had we had more money to play with when looking we would’ve gone with one of these.

    • Hi I have just purchased a double mountain buggy terrain and I’m struggling to find the carseat clip that goes with this buggy. I have a toddler so thought this buggy would be perfect for a baby and toddler. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
      Thanks

Hi lisylu, your best bet would probably be to enquire somewhere like Baby on the Move, who stock Mountain Buggy and can be found in our directory. Hopefully they can point you in the right direction – good luck!

      • HI Lisylu,

I passed on your question to the great people at Mountain Buggy and they had this comment:

That is an excellent question about the car seat adapter. The short answer is there isn’t a car seat adapter for the Terrain Double sorry.

The long answer is that there never was one produced at the time the Terrain Double was in production, nor was there one for the similar Urban Double model.

However with the release of the Duo model in 2010, we developed several car seat clips for the Duo at that point. These also happened to be compatible with the Urban Double as the frame measurements where the clips attach to were identical. The Terrain Double however is subtly different in frame shape, and thus any Duo travel system would sit at an inappropriate angle for a young infant to rest at.

        Hope this helps!
