I’m Liking:
I like the idea very much. A piece of kit that allows you to transport your sleeping baby from the house, car seat, buggy, bed, hammock (you can get a hook or stand for that), shops, grocery store… or anywhere really, to another location without having to wake them. It is super duper multi-functional. It is a hammock, buggy or car seat liner, and a sling that can be worn as a cradle hold, side hold (up to about 12 months or more) and as a front and back pack. I like the addition of the adjusters on the sides to pull baby closer to you for a more snug fit, this worked well for my little nephew at 9lbs. I really like the light bluey/green fabric option. I like how compact it is.
Things that make me go hmmm:
As a sling I think there is a little too much fabric for a little baby. I didn’t get a chance to try it with a 6-24 month old where I think it would really come into it’s own. I found it a little too complicated, but in fairness it is such a new product that in time there will be some really clear, concise instructions on to how to use it to take full advantage of all that it offers. I’m also not a fan of separate pieces – things have a habit of getting lost that way.
Extra for experts:
I can see how as a transporter for sleeping babies it would be invaluable if you have to go out and about at nap times for collecting older kids from school, groceries, out for dinner/dinner parties or such like. I could see it being useful for plane travel if you have to carry your child from the plane to the baggage carousel, the sling would be brilliant for that. It could a great sleep association for a baby as they would feel secure in it where ever they were.
The conclusion:
I wonder if it might be best looked at as a fabulous sleeping baby transporter that happens to have a range of sling wearing capabilities as a bonus? It is a brilliant concept, and I really applaud the ingenuity and effort that it has taken to get this product out there.
