The deliciously wacky and explosively funny tale from the world’s number one storyteller helps usher in the Christmas season! Introducing Roald Dahl’s George’s Marvellous Medicine, set to bring the house down with laughter at Bruce Mason Centre from 17 – 22 December.

George can’t stand his Grandma. She complains all the time, she’s mean and she smells funny. On one particular day, Grandma is much more annoying than usual and George has had enough. To cure her nastiness, George concocts a spell and it actually works… in more ways than one!

Following a sell-out season in Australia, this world-class, high energy, critically acclaimed production will see the classic tale brought to mischievous life on stage in Auckland for the very first time.
Families and indeed everyone aged from 6 to 106 are invited to share in the festive excitement of this much cherished tale, full of unexpected surprises and uproarious laughter in this, the 100th year since the birth of the great Roald Dahl.

WARNING: Show contains haze, smoke, strobe effects and loud music. Please note that no animals (or Grandmas) will be harmed in the staging of this production.

FREE UP YOUR GRANNY: As a special treat, bring along your Granny for free to special performances on Monday 19 December at 10am and 1pm. 0800 111 999 to book (service fees apply).
