Discovering that you could make ice cream out of frozen bananas was like a miracle for me! I’ve only discovered it fairly recently so was really excited to try the Yonanas dessert maker.

It’s easy-peasy to use. The parts fit together nicely and are also easy to take apart to clean.
Of course, the very best thing about this machine is the fact that it turns, like magic, frozen bananas into a soft- serve-like ‘ice cream’. You can also use other fruit with it so can make an endless array of delicious flavours!
Things that made me go hmmmm
It takes a bit of time to figure out *just* the right level of ‘frozen’ fruit – too frozen and it’s too hard and too soft and it’s a slushy mess. I found that I got the hang of it after a few tries. There is a cute little graphic that helps with this as well…
The conclusion
With summer coming, Yonanas is a great way to have guilt-free ‘ice cream’! My kids love it and I’m looking forward to trying some other flavours, like pineapple.
