Rotorua- places to eat

Rotorua provides a mouthwatering array of places to eat, no matter what your dining preference and budget. We’ve divided up the options according to family restaurants and cafes that provide Breakfast, Lunch, and/or Dinner, and dining venues that provide entertainment with your meal.

Lakeland Queen

“All aboard” the impressive Lakeland Queen paddle steamer for their 1-Hour Breakfast Cruise on Lake Rotorua. Enjoy a delicious international breakfast buffet, choosing between 7am or 8am departures, while you enjoy a wonderful scenic cruise and take in the beautiful views of the lake, Mokoia island, and the surrounding countryside. The Lakeland Queen also departs daily for lunch and dinner cruises.

Dinner + Entertainment

Mitai

Expose the kids to an amazing cultural experience for an evening — tour through the Mitai Maori Village’s bush setting, marvel at the glow worms, and watch your traditional Maori hangi dinner being lifted from the ground, Maori warriors paddling a waka, learn about Maori protocols, carvings and ta moko tatto art, Maori weaponry and combat coupled with the grace and beauty of the poi dance, and a spine tingling haka finale.
