Julie Stufkens

Julie Stufkens was appointed the Executive Officer of the New Zealand Breastfeeding Authority (NZBA) in 1999. Her work has primarily been focussed on the development, implementation and administration of the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) for Aotearoa New Zealand and the development of the Baby Friendly Community Initiative. This involved working with the Ministry of Health, service providers and the organisation’s stakeholder groups.
Julie is a Registered Dietitian specialising in Paediatrics for the last 20 years, and public health since 1991.
