Orana Wildlife Park is New Zealand’s only open range zoo. The Park is located within 15 minutes drive of Christchurch airport. Visitors can take part in a variety of up close encounters with threatened animals: hand feed giraffe, meet rhino ‘face-to-face’, watch lions devour their food and much more. Scheduled daily presentations enable you to enjoy the antics of monkeys, meerkats and cheetah. New to the zoo over summer are Tasmanian devils! Orana has an extensive native fauna section including kiwi and a wide range of New Zealand birds and reptiles. Meet and pet friendly domestic animals in the Farmyard. Guided tours operate daily.
