Albert Einstein said “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

We all need to be reminded that amazing and miraculous things happen every day, it’s just a matter of training ourselves to notice them.

Instead of  feeling resentful and envious about other peoples’ children and their successes, remember to  try and see and understand your children as they really are and not how you think they should be.

All our actions have consequences, so notice that they achieve small miracles every day, they learn to cope with their fears, they learn things at school despite all the obstacles, they learn how to get on with their friends, they may be warm hearted and give you a hug. All causes for a celebration. Every celebration has a positive result, our children may not show their pleasure at your comments, but believe that it matters, and it will.

Have a think about your kids and look for and celebrate the little and amazing things that they learn to do, and will continue to do, if we remember to notice the little miracles.
