Business is blooming for two Tauranga women who developed the idea of saucy lingerie for pregnant women.
Lisa Ebbing and Ange Crosbie and their maternity lingerie business HOTmilk have scooped up two women’s business awards.
They won Best New Business and Best Micro Business at the Bloom Her Business Conference and Awards.
Lisa Ebbing says they are very proud of the accolades and all the work the HOTmilk team put in to earn them. She had the idea for HOTmilk when she was pregnant with her first child – and horrified at the maternity options available.
The label now has 300 boutiques worldwide, including stockists in New Zealand and Australia, the UK, Europe, China, Malaysia, Tahiti and Singapore.
I was lucky enough to meet Lisa and Ange about 3 years ago when I was the Business Consultant for the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce.
I was impressed by the intelligence, professionalism and warm personalities of these two women.
Since then I have watched HOTmilk progress from a little, local Tauranga business, to a shining star taking on the world…and winning!
What has impressed me is how simple the idea is, and yet it has been a runaway succes with women across the globe!
What is also interesting is that the lingerie is not only worn by pregnant and breastfeeding women… many other women also choose to wear HOTmilk undergarments, due to their beautful design and fabrics, high quality finish and luxurious comfort.
And men get to enjoy the lingerie too…. on their partners, that is! 😉
I wish Lisa and Ange all the best for the future, and look forward to seeing them achieve world domination!
