The Kozy Carrier is a modern version of the Asian Mei Tai, otherwise known as an Asian Baby Carrier (ABC). With wide padded shoulder straps, a padded curved head support, and sturdy durable fabrics (which give the body the stability it needs to carry heavier weights comfortably), the Kozy was designed for the comfort of not only you but your child as well. And with its generous sized body, it not only supports your child throughout their legs, bum and back, but it is made to grow with your child. It can be used from birth through toddlerhood and beyond.

The cost of the Kozy Carrier is $165

The setup

The Kozy Carrier is a soft, fabric front carrier… it’s kind of a cross between wrap and a more structured carrier.

I’m liking

I had a hard time rating this carrier because I did really like some aspects of it. It was lovely and soft and I’m a big fan of lighter weight fabrics for carriers. I also liked the range of colours that it comes in- aesthetics are very important! In many ways, the Kozy carrier was really simple to use and it packs up quite small.

Things that made me go hmmm…

BUT I’ve discovered that I don’t really like carriers that you have to tie. The fact that you have to cross the carrier over behind your back and then tie it means that I never quite felt like I had the tension right… it always felt a bit lopsided or uneven. I also find that knots like this have a tendency to loosen off, so I was forever trying to tighten it up again.

The conclusion

A good, comfortable carrier that would be nice for around home. My baby snuggled in nicely and was well supported by the carrier. However, I don’t think I would choose this carrier if I were going to wear it for a long period of time.
