This blueberry sauce recipe is perfect to make after taking the family out blueberry picking. Most of the antioxidant goodness of the blueberries is retained in this sauce. Making it delicious and healthy.

Blueberry Sauce

This goes extremely well with pancakes or waffles, on muesli or a breakfast jar, and can also be consumed poured over ice-cream!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp maize cornflour
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients and cook over medium heat, stirring throughout, until thickened.
