 I’m liking

I was fortunate enough to try out a newly released organic BlackLine Manduca in RadicalRed colouring. It looks fabulous and has many great features.

In particular, the Manduca I tried is definitely for the safety-conscious. All of the buckles are double or triple reinforced and the makers have certainly thought about how they can prevent against accidents while wearing the Manduca.

The Manduca is thoroughly padded and has good back support. It was comfortable to wear and held my baby securely. I also found it easy to get my baby in and out of.

Things that made me go hmmm…

As I have tested a range of products recently, I know that the fabric of this carrier will certainly soften up with time and washing. However, as a product straight out of the package, it was quite stiff- don’t let this put you off but do be warned.

While the attention to safety is to be commended, I found it a bit annoying at times, as I didn’t always have the hands required to undo the buckles. This meant that the carrier was difficult to take off at times. I also found that the padding under the arms rubbed a little.

I used this carrier on two quite warm days and I felt like my baby got very hot under the black canvas… If you live somewhere warm, you might like to think about choosing a light colour.

Finally, this carrier could do with a pocket… should be a compulsory aspect of baby carriers as far as I’m concerned!
